Welcome to Narrative Resonance: A Podcast About Stories In Video Games! You may know us, The Subtle Doctor and Shadon, from our sister anime podcast Warui Deshou. In this new game analysis pod, we take narrative as the foundational element in games, and this core principle frames our discussion. Not only do we dissect the stories themselves and the literary elements therein, we also evaluate gameplay mechanics and design decisions that effect game stories. Our idea of stories is inclusive: we are interested primarily in stories internal to the games themselves but also in player stories, experiences created by but external to the text of the game.
